The Leathersellers' Company awards University Grants
(Exhibitions) of up to £4,000 a year, to study for a full-time Degree at any UK
We are now closed for applications for the academic year 2016/2017.
The closing deadline was midnight Thursday 30th June
References for this round will be taken up in August/September, so please notify your referees accordingly, as applications without references may suffer.
Interviews will take place at Leathersellers' Hall, 7 St Helen's Place, Bishopsgate in London on the 17th and 18th October 2016. Theses dates are fixed so please ensure you can be available.
If you have submitted an application prior to the June deadline you will hear about the outcome of your application, whether you have been shortlisted for an interview or not. So, unless your e-mail address changes, there is no need for you to do anything else.
We do notify all applicants the outcome of their application.

Any UK student enrolled on any full-time degree course at a UK University can apply.
Any UK student with an unconditional offer for a full-time degree course at a UK University may apply.
Priority may some times be given to exceptional students from the Greater London area.
Funding will not be given in support of one year
Guidance for Making A Good Application:
You should put forward a strong case both academically and in terms of personal
circumstance as to why you feel you should be considered for an award.
You should be able to demonstrate that you are making every effort to apply for and raise funds to cover your course costs and living expenses, such as applying for other grants & loans, working part time or getting help from your family if possible.
You should be able to explain how your chosen course will enable you to further your career path and gain employment.
Applications are particularly welcomed from students of engineering or subjects connected with the leather trade.
Applications are also welcomed from graduates & undergraduates who express an intention to take Holy Orders.
The maximum value of an award is £4,000 per annum.
